The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is as synonymous with state-of-the-art luxury and safety features as it is with country club prestige. Mercedes has used its flagship sedan to pioneer many modern technologies, such as airbags, antilock brakes and stability control. Yet as the brand’s largest sedan, the S-Class has also offered the most room for rear-seat passengers, making it a favorite of wealthy dads and heads of state alike.
This late 1930s vehicle was originally used for luxury car service in the 40s. Who knew that limo companies were around back then? When we received it, it was non-operational and banged up in a few areas but we saw the potential. The interior was original but in immaculate shape so we decided that at least a 1/3 of the battle was won. Under further inspection we found that this car didn’t have even a dot of rust on it! Esmond is a name we always thought sounded of luxury and sophistication. With his classic 30’s features and original interior we found it to be quite fitting.
