This was my 3rd time using Royal and just like the two previous times, service was incredible. All 3 times I used Royal for a girls trip to Napa/Sonoma. I've booked an 8 seater and 10 and the limos are always clean, stocked with bottled water and clean glasses. Christina who handles the reservations is always pleasant to deal with and super responsive, whether it's over the phone or via email. The drivers have always been extremely professional and punctual! Moe was our driver this time and I really appreciated that he texted the night before to confirm pickup time (because I'm OCD with logistics and time!). I also loved that at each winery when I texted him to let him know we were ready for pickup, he immediately texted to confirm he was already in front waiting. Amazing service! Thanks for another great experience, Royal Limo! Looking forward to the next time.

I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Royal Limo. I reached out after finding a Groupon deal to see if I could work directly with the company. Christina responded very quickly and always had friendly, timely responses. She was willing to help me find a rate that made sense for my group and budget and she made our decision to use Royal Limo very easy! Communication was seamless and I felt really comfortable that my friends and I would have a great day - it was nice to have some of that stress of planning an event eliminated.

When the day arrived we had the BEST driver, Alex!! He literally made the day for us and was friendly, positive, timely and super accommodating. He got us to Sonoma safely and was so prepared with understanding where we were going and the best way to get there. He was so much fun, too! On top of that, we had a bit of extra time for another tasting and he was willing to call and ask wineries if they could accept our group while we wrapped up at one of the pre-planned wineries. He really made our day so easy and enjoyable. We left a few things in the limo and he went out of his way to meet us to return them the very next day and even had a smile on his face then!

We would love to use Royal Limo again and I look forward to seeing Alex again soon!!! :) Than you for everything!

CHRYSLER 300 STRETCHED LIMOUSINES

A LITTLE HISTORY The first automobile limousine, built in 1902, was designed so the driver sat outside under a covered compartment. The word limousineis derived from the name of the French region Limousin, because this covered compartment physically resembled the raised hood of the cloak worn by the shepherds there. An alternate etymology has the chauffeur wearing a Limousin-style cloak in the open driver’s compartment, for protection from the weather. The first “stretch limousine” was created in Fort Smith, Arkansas, around 1928 by a coach company named Armbruster. These cars were primarily used to transport famous “big band” leaders, such as Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman, and their bands and equipment. These early stretch limousines were often called “big band buses”. In 1916, the Society of Automobile Engineers defined a limousine as: “a closed car seating three to five inside, with driver’s seat outside.” A berline was defined as “a limousine having the driver’s seat entirely inclosed”, while a brougham was defined as “a limousine with no roof over the driver’s seat.” In German-speaking countries, a Limousine is simply a sedan, while a lengthened-wheelbase car is called Stretch-Limousine.
