This was my first time using Skylark Limousine and everything was PERFECT! I first contacted Skylark to request a quote on Yelp for a party bus to Sonoma and they responded right away and patiently answered all my questions over Yelp messenger. Poonam finally helped me book my reservation over the phone and sent me the contract. I appreciated that our quote was all inclusive (tax, gratuity, tolls, etc.) and transparent. The cash rate was $10 cheaper/hr than the credit card rate. I received a confirmation email the day before my event.
Our driver, Sukh, was 15 minutes early and texted me when he arrived. He was so nice and professional! The bus arrived with ice, water, and sodas in the cooler and an extra cooler for us to use. Great service. Sukh helped me load heavy things onto the bus and patiently waited for our last arrival who was 20 min late. They said the bus fits 25 people comfortable and that was definitely true. It felt even bigger than the pictures.
I explained to Sukh that there was an event at Sonoma Raceway and he happily gave me his phone so I could select another route on gps. He was always on time to pick us up at the wineries and made sure we had everyone on board. We ended up being ~10 min late for our drop off time and was not charged overtime. I think the contract says overtime will be charged in one hour increments starting 15 in after the drop off time, but I was grateful nonetheless. I was charged overtime from another company and although it is understandable, it still sucks.
That night I realized I didn't have my purse and must have left it on the bus. I texted the driver and called Skylark. He was understanding and told me to call again tomorrow. The next day they said they couldn't find my bag but kindly offered for me to come by and check the bus myself. They came in to the office to let me in and sure enough I found my purse wedged behind the seat where I was sitting. They wouldn't have found it and I'm SO grateful they let me come take a look.
I will definitely use Skylark again and recommend them to my friends and coworkers!!
This should really be a 2 star review given the way the day started off, but they are well priced, responsive, safe, and very, very clean.
We used Skylark limo for our wedding a few weeks ago. It was on a Monday in SF. Everything was prearrange via email well in advance, and when I asked about how to make payment, Harry stated I could give the driver a check. The driver picked us up promptly at the start time at our hotel. My groom and I had done a first look, so it was to be us and our bridal party (10 people total). We had requested and received the 12-passenger Mercedes sprinter van which was really nice. We load in and I asked my MOH to give the driver his check. He stated that the company did not accept checks and he would not move until we gave him nearly $1000 in cash. He comes to talk to me about the cash payment (mind you, I'm in full wedding mode with a gorgeous dress on). I told him calmly that everything was prearranged with Harry and showed him the email. He did not care. He stated very rudely to me that he wouldn't move until we gave him cash. My dear husband, not wanting me to panic, asked that he call the office and speak to Harry to confirm the arrangement since he was not accepting the email confirmation we were showing him. The driver calls and says "no one answered. Sorry, I'm just doing my job".
So then I call the office and speak to someone. Somehow our driver was unable to reach anyone at the office, but I was able to. The person I spoke to confirmed the no-check policy but after a few F bombs from me and the stated fact that we were to be walking down the aisle in 30 minutes, he asked to speak to the driver. The driver got the OK to begin driving, so off we went. A total of about 25 minutes of waiting and unnecessary stress for the bride and groom on their big day.
We were dropped off at City Hall, picked up exactly at the time we needed to be and then our photographer directed him to the other locations in SF that we were wanting to take pictures. We arrived back on time at our reception in the East Bay with no further issues. If I needed to rent a vehicle for transportation again, I might give them another chance. Hopefully the owner sees this and ensures that staff knows the no-check policy before giving the OK to customers.
