The parking lot is a MESS. The hotel shuttle to pick you up is a rare sighting - take the Renaissance Hotel shuttle or even the Budget shuttle and walk 100 feet over, MUCH faster.
Employees bicker in front of customers! It's so awkward hearing "ugh, you need to grow up."
In the end, you'll pay just as much as anywhere else and you're probably less frustrated.
LOCATION INFO: Exit your terminal, find the hotel shuttles, get on the one for the Four Points Sheraton. When arriving at the hotel, enter and go straight to the back. USave has a counter there where you pick up your vehicle. When returning, go into the paid lot and retrace your steps to get back. Take the shuttle back to the airport if needed.
Didn't pull up the Yelp page until after I'd already arrived and the low rating made me concerned, but we didn't have any of the major issues other reviews reference. The location is a pain to get to, and the staff member who helped us was slow and seemed confused throughout the transaction, but it was a cheap car for a day of sightseeing (read: eating) around LA during a long layover. Like any car rental agency, they'll push for you to purchase insurance ($10/day). Note that their paperwork, unlike any other I've encountered, specifically states that you must provide a copy of your car insurance to waive theirs- though this was not enforced and I question the legality of such wording. The car itself was fine as far as functionality, but it was given to us "dirty"- receipts and a Coke can from the previous renters, in plain sight, were not removed. All said, I didn't have any significant issues but I probably wouldn't rent here again.
