I purchased a living social deal for a 6 hour wine tour of Napa just a few days ago. I canceled my reservation after days of terrible service via email and phone and finding out that the company wanted me to pay $300 in cash EXTRA on pickup. In total, $655 is the highest price I have been quoted upon doing my research. What a scam.
The details: I called to make the appointment after purchasing the deal. They asked me to write them an email and I did. After four days I did not hear from them. I called them and they said they received the email but never read it. They then took the entire day to get back to me with a confirmation email. In this email they asked for 20% gratuity on the original price of $1000 which is an OUTRAGEOUS price for this type of limo service. Plus an extra $100 for administrative fees and fuel. Other companies I have spoken to have quoted me an all-inclusive price from $550-$630. The fact they were trying to sell this as a deal is appalling. Not to mention they were very unprofessional over the phone and were extremely difficult to understand.
