Choosing the right limo company can be daunting and downright scary. Booking a limo is not a
routine task for most, so how do you find the right one? Read through the following 8 tips and you’ll
be on your way….
1. References and reviews
One of the best ways to find good limo services is through online social media or word of mouth. Ask
a friend, relative or co-worker who they might have used and if they were happy with the service.
Check through online social networking reviews on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the local BBB.
Check for any negative reviews.
2. Experience
Business experience is a necessity. Each booking has its own subtle details that inexperienced limo
companies can miss. If you want a smooth booking, hire a company with in-depth experience in
transportation.
3. Your budget
Staying in budget is always a priority. Check for any fuel surcharges, driver gratuity, tolls, or other
administration costs in advance. Ask if your final quote is all-inclusive, nobody likes to have bill-
shock!
4. Fleet
You want the same stunning vehicle you imagined in your head to pull up to the curb, so be so
request a list of vehicles you interested in. Ask for pictures, make, model, year and color vehicle.
Limo companies typically have a wide selection of vehicles such as; stretch limos, party buses,
shuttle buses, SUVs (sometimes stretch) and executive cars. The average limo fleet size is 5, so
you will likely need to shop several companies to find what you’re looking for.
5. Review your options in-person
When possible take the time to see the vehicle you’re renting, especially if it’s your wedding or prom.
If you can’t visit or see the car in person, request the year, make, model, color and pictures of vehicle.
6. Book in advance
When it comes to booking, Limo companies are like airlines, the further you book in advance the
more choices you will have, and the lower your price will be. If you are planning an event in May or
June try and book at least 6 months in advance, during prom season formal vehicles are in high
demand.
7. Special Requests
It’s your special occasion, so don’t be afraid to make special requests such as extra stops, wine,
music/video player, or special dress attire for driver. Most requests can be accommodated, just be
sure to have them include it in your final quote.
8. Cancelation policy
Nobody plans to cancel a reservation, but let’s face it…it happens. To avoid any surprises ask to see
cancelation policy in writing.
